This vintage postcard shows a vista of Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.
The postcard is addressed to a woman at Coleshill near Birmingham. The message, written in ink, reads "Having a very nice time although the weather is not too good, motored to Chester today & went round the Cathedral & on the River, had a good shopping day in Manchester yesterday. Going to Blackpool tomorrow. Hope everything is ok. Love to Romy, [....] auntie."
The postmark is 15th June 1943, and the stamp shows King George VI.
