A vintage postcard of Dove Cottage in Grasmere, home of William Wordsworth, with a message dated 1921 on the back.
Dove Cottage can be found at Grasmere in the Peak District. From 1799 to 1808 it was the home of William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy, and was where Wordsworth wrote some of his best-known poems.
This postcard features a colourised photo of the cottage, with the location noted in type on the top left. On the back is a message written in black ink from "Hilda", dated 6 September 1921. The message mentions that they've visited Keswick, Windemere and Grasmere and have had "lovely weather".
