Cathedrals of England & Wales II: Southern Cathedrals

Nugent M. Clougher (which I assume is a pen name since it sounds ridiculous and I can't find anything else he did beyond books on cathedrals) published two books containing photographs of the cathedrals of England and Wales. This book is volume 2, which covers "Southern Cathedrals".

Cathedrals depicted in this small book include Bangor, Liverpool, Sailsbury, and Westminster Abbey. There's an additional 7 pages of notes from the author about the cathedrals at the back of the book.

This is a small book in excellent condition, with grey-ish textured paper for the front and back cover. The title is printed on the front and spine in black and red text, and there is a small photography of Salisbury cathedral stuck to the front. The covers are pretty clean and the corners of the covers are not bent.

Inside the spine is secure and all the pages are attached and present. There is some very light foxing on the first few pages (which are adverts), but the photographic pages are all clean and free of pencil and pen marks. On the first title page someone has written the name "F C Lennon" in ink.

All the photographs inside are in black and white. There are several photographs per cathedral, with a mixture of external shots and interesting internal features.

Overall this would make a fantastic gift for any church crawler or cathedral enthusiast. It has clearly been kept carefully over the years and should last many more.
