This vintage postcard has a black and white photo of the back of the Craig Goch Dam. On the bottom left is white text that reads "Craig Goch Dam from above Elan Valley, Rhayader."
The back of the postcard has a long inked message addressed to Mr W Rabarts (or Robarts) at 78 Chesnut Road, Plumstead. The message reads:
"Weds. We have just returned from a two day trip to the Elan Valley, a fine experience too. We had the Valley to ourselves, and it was jolly cold up there too. We stopped the night at The Bear's Head. We returned via Penybont where we saw a market, Kington, Whitney [on-Wye] & Moccas Park seeing 20 deer scoot. Weather much cooler today - off to [illegible] now. Love Pat."
There is a postmark on the back with the year 1934 visible, as well as a red stamp of King George V. Someone has written "RADNOR" on the top left in pencil.
