The photographer G.P. Abraham turned many of his shots in to picture postcards. The front of this one labels it as "106. Buttermere from Honister (Abrahams series).
On the back a message to Mrs R.L. Capell of St George's Avenue Northampton reads:
"I am writing this on the market square at Kesworth. It is a glorious day and how I long for you to be here. Never never did I imagine there were such glorious places. Love to all E."
There is no date on this postcard and the year isn't visible on the postmark. The stamp is a green King George V halfpenny. George reigned from 1910 to 1936, no closer dating can be given for this card.
