Matilda of Scotland (originally named "Edith") was Queen of England as the wife of King Henry I of England. She had two children with him, the future Holy Roman Empress Matilda and a son called William. She died in 1118 and is buried in Westminster Abbey, her son William died two years later leaving her husband without a legitimate heir to the throne.
