This book is in very good condition with red cloth boards which are clean and relatively scuff free, there is just a small fade line at the bottom of the front cover. There is an embossed but uncoloured insignia of a pegasus (the publishers mark) on the front cover, and the title embossed with gilt on the spine.

Inside the book all pages are present and clean. The spine shows no signs of cracking and the binding is secure. There are 4 illustrations all in black, printed on regular paper rather than as glossy inserts.

Overall this book would make a fantastic gift for any Edgar Allen Poe fan, it's condition means it should last for many more years.
