A really cute little book, Lord Ormont and His Aminta is a novel by the writer George Meredith. It tells the story of Aminta as she leaves her husband for another man, and the trials they both face in the wake of it.

This book has red cloth boards with a vertical texture. There is a gilt embossing of Meredith’s signature on the front, and gilt lettering on the spine. The spine has been exposed to sunlight, which appears to have done more damage to the gilt lettering than the colour of the spine itself.

The spine is uncracked and the binding is secure. All the pages are present and clean, although the title page has become discoloured into a light tan colour (not sure what caused this as the pages either side of it are fine).

Overall this is a nice little book and would be a sweet gift for any fan of George Meredith.
