Dating from 1906, this vintage postcard features a colour image of South Gate Bridge in Cork with Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral in the background.

On the back is a message written in black ink which reads:

"This is where your daddy has got so far. Soon be back darling Love from Dad. 9.x.06"

The bit at the end refers to the date, 9th October 1906. There is also a green half penny King Edward VII stamp with a postmark that includes the year 1906. The postcard is addressed to Miss Bubble Barton at 9 Bloomsbury Place in Brighton.
