King Edward II inherited the throne from his father, Edward I. Unfortunately it ended in disaster.

His wife Isabella led a rebellion against him, and he ended up dying (probably murdered, but probably not with a poker) aged 43 at Berkley Castle. You can find his tomb in Gloucester Cathedral.
