  • A vintage birthday postcard depicting a girl on a typewriter with a teddy bear sitting on the desk watching her work. There is a handwritten message in ink on the back.

The front of this postcard reads "Bearing best wishes for your birthday", and "I've typed a word or two to say, 'A Happy Birthday, dear, to-day'."

The postcard is a black and white one, but as been coloured in in places with pen. The girl on the front now has a bright blue dress, and some roses on the right are done in red, while the frame around the main image is yellow and pink. The teddy has been coloured in yellow.

On the back is a message written in pen which reads; "Dearest Rommy, My very best wishes for your 5th birthday from Aunty Kate". The card is address to Miss R Cresswell of The Croft, Coleshill.

Although there is no stamp or postmark on this card, the style suggests it is from the 1930s.
