Villefranche

This vintage postcard depicts a street in the town of Villefranche in southern France, looking through an arch.

The message on the back is dated from 9 February 1924, addressed to "R.L. Capell Esq." at Colwyn Road Northampton it reads:

"Dear father, we are enjoying this beautiful place immensely, until today the sun has shone all the time but now it is raining. I am feeling so much better and able to go about to see things. One day next week we are going to San Remo - Love from Josephine".

At the top left is written "Hotel Victoria, Monte Carlo". This postcard also includes a red stamp from the "Principaute de Monaco".
