Xenophon was an ancient Greek historian who wrote a history of his times, collected the sayings of Socrates and wrote about ways of life in other areas of Greece. After being kicked out of his native Athens he was granted property in Spart and appears to have lived the rest of his life there, although the exact date of his death is unknown. His work is still studied today by students of the ancient world.
