Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius was the last of the "Five Good Emperors" and was also a Stoic philosopher. Under his reign the Empire regained lost territories, put down rebellions and fought against the Germanic tribes who were becoming an increasingly dangerous threat. His work "Meditations" survived the ages and can still be read today. If you're going to vote for anyone, it would be him.
