Mark Antony was a Roman politician and a friend of Julius Caesar. After Caesar was assassinated Mark Antony allied himself with Octavian, the future Emperor Augustus. Their friendship soured and eventually led to civil war, when it became obvious that they were losing Mark Antony and his wife Cleopatra committed suicide.
