Isabella was the second wife of King Richard II. After his wife Anne of Bohemia died, Richard had to remarry. He picked Isabella of Valois, even though he needed an heir and she was only seven years old at the time. After Richard was deposed and died she returned to France and married her cousin the Duke of Orleans, she died giving birth to their first child.
