William Pitt the Elder is one of Englands best known Prime Ministers. He led the British government during the Seven Years War and is remembered for his oratory skills. He is called "Pitt the Elder" as his son, also called William Pitt, also became Prime Minister years later and so "Elder" and "Younger" are used to differentiate between them.
