William Wallace

William Wallace was one of the key figures of the Wars of Scottish Independence, after several deaths left Scotland with no specific heir. He fought at the Battle of Stirling Bridge and became Guardian of Scotland before being defeated at the Battle of Falkirk. He was captured and handed over to King Edward I of England, who had him executed. To this day he is a key figure in Scottish history. He was also depicted in an awful movie.
